Continuing with the research on the descendants of Santos Amado and Gertrudis Cordova, this post covers the next generation, from their son Rafael Amado. He was born 3 December 1838 in Hermosillo, Sonora. He married Maria Arvizu, and their Informacion Matrimonial filed in Altar, Sonora shows they were living in the village of Sáric, Sonora in 1885.
Rafael Amado and Maria Arvizu had at least the following children:

- Jose Rafael Amado, 1866-
- Maria Francisca Amado, 1872-1893
- Ramon Amado, 1877-1946
- Rafael Arvizu Amado, 1881-1921
- Santos Amado, 1882-1962
- Dolores Amado, 1884-1920
- Pedro Arvizu Amado, 1887-1970
- Maria Amado, 1888-
- Abelardo Amado, 1890-1974
Maria Arvizu died in Sáric, Sonora on 10 July 1895. After her death, Rafael Amado moved north to Graham County, Arizona. He appears in the household of his daughter Teresa Carrillo in the 1910 US Census in Graham County.
Rafael Amado died on 5 November 1913 in Solomonville, Arizona.
I know there are likely many descendants of this Amado family out there. One of our AncestryDNA connections is a direct descendant of Rafael and Maria.
