After over a year and three months, last week I took my first flights since the start of the pandemic for a quick visit to Los Angeles. It was great to be back in familiar territory, from Marina del Rey, to Venice and Santa Monica. I was pleased with the experience on Alaska Airlines, they were still blocking off the middle in my row, so I had more space than those up in First. People were generally good about keeping masks on during the flight. LAX had the least amount of traffic I've ever seen. I'm sure the crowds will return, but for a first trip in so long, it wasn't too bad.
