On Friday I had a 26 hour stopover in Iceland on my way home from Helsinki, Finland. Before returning on Saturday, I stopped at the
Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa in the middle of an 800 year old lava field at Grindavik, Iceland. The site is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. It was also a great place to recover after a test run on part of the marathon course in Reykjavik.

This was really wonderful and I am looking forward to returning in August after running the marathon.
