Continuing from my previous post, Mary and William purchased the Shultz Studio in 1933, after returning from a vacation in Hawaii.

Once they settled into St. Joseph, Missouri, Mary and William became active in the local community. Mary was installed as worthy matron of the Areme Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1938. William was active in the Rotary Club and was a regular speaker at events on their travels and photography. I'll have more on their world tours in the next few posts.
