Sunny skies go a long way

The warmer weather and sunny skies have helped break up the long hours of #stayathome. I went on a four mile run earlier today, keeping a safe distance from anyone else on the running path, and a bonus run up the steps of the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria. Sun and some Vitamin D go a long way to making this manageable.

A few recent articles tackle how the stay at home orders impact different groups. For my generation (Generation X), we can handle this. For teens and those graduating high school or in college, the impact may be really tough. In the DC area, having running as an outlet for stress is a huge help. I don't like to run every day, and am really missing our local YMCA. I've made some makeshift weights in the garage, but it isn't the same. Granted, we're really lucky and so far avoiding the sickness. Both of our jobs allow for work from home and our kids' schools are being delivered through online classes. A lot of people have it extremely tough. These times will pass, but we've got a long time to go.
