Back in 2015, I
shared photos from
my visit to the Hagia Sophia, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Istanbul. Today Turkey's President
signed a decree allowing the site to be opened for Muslim prayers, after a Turkish court revoked the museum's status. UNESCO's
statement on the status change is here. I am fortunate I was able to see the Hagia Sophia on one of my previous visits to the Istanbul office, and I hope to be able to see it again on a future trip to Istanbul.
