Summer is racing by, and the kids return to school next week. The photo above was from the Hella Mega Tour, featuring Weezer and Green Day. We took the kids, we all wore masks, and we had a great time hearing live music again.
I first saw Green Day live back in the summer of 1994 in Indianapolis, and have seen them play memorable shows since then. It's probably been about ten years, maybe more though.

Blogging has fallen off this summer. I'm a little surprised this is the first post of July, on the last day of the month, and I'm posting so that I don't go a whole month without anything on the blog. We've just returned from a family vacation on Virginia's Eastern Shore, enjoying a friend's house in a quiet area north of Cape Charles. Earlier in the month, we visited family in Columbia, South Carolina.
I'll try to do better next month. International travel is still a long way off. For now, we're watching the Olympics happening in Japan and looking forward to hopefully seeing the games in Paris in 2024.
