I am back from my first international trip in two and a half years. It was really great to see friends and colleagues again in person.

Immigrant Heritage Month

This month marks another Immigrant Heritage Month. For this year, I donated to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), an organization I have supported in the past. While they don't provide a way on their online form to make the donation on behalf of someone, this time I had my great-grandaunt Guadalupe Portillo in mind.

Champions

 

Alexandria, 3 June 2022.

Under the lights last Friday, S' Little League team won the Alexandria Intermediate Championship. He pitched a tough 6th inning, as the team rode big bats and good defense to victory 15 to 3. If that was his last baseball game, it was a memorable way to finish.

We're into the summer now, wrapping up the final days of school and enjoying beautiful weather in Alexandria.
