Commuting on the White River

While searching through Newspapers.com, I stumbled onto this short recollection by my great-grandmother, Blanche Lamon O'Brien, describing how my great-grandfather Harry O'Brien used to commute on the White River by motor boat when they were living in Broad Ripple during the 1920s.

The article above is also useful because it mentions Blanche living in Bradenton, Florida. I remember my Dad talking about a vacation home in the area around Sarasota that his grandfather Harry had owned. He had visited the home on occasions in the 1950s. I was unable to find out any information on this. Perhaps by looking up Bradenton I might be able to find something.
